Letters for Black Lives (Korean Version)
We Cannot Stay Silent About George Floyd
Why the translation ???? ?? ??????
In Korean, ???? means ?black people.? ???? means ?lives,? and can literally be translated into ?the breath in one?s throat.? ?????? is the Korean verb for ?to be precious,? to be beloved. Altogether, this statement expresses that black lives are precious.
We created the design in order to spark much-needed conversations within the Korean community. At the same time, we hope that this message resonates with us all.
Here and here are the download links for the graphics if you would like to use them for protest signs, social media, etc.
All proceeds will be donated to bail funds and mutual aid networks most in need at the time of donation.
