Cleveland is home to many historic cemeteries, with the oldest, Erie Street Cemetery, dating back to 1827. During Cleveland Buried History Days on October 24-27, explore five historic cemeteries and meet the notable and notorious residents who made these places their final homes.
With events designed to enlighten not frighten, Buried History Days offers many opportunities to learn more about the lives (and deaths) of Clevelanders dating back to the early 1800s as well as a chance to explore and learn more about these beautiful, historic landmarks. Join us as tour guides and historians breathe life into some of the lesser known stories of Cleveland?s past.
Cleveland History Days is presented by Canalway, a non-profit cultural heritage organization that serves as a catalyst for projects and programs within the Ohio & Erie Canalway National Heritage Area in Cuyahoga County.
