- Cerebral palsy is the most common lifelong motor disability, affecting more than 1 million Americans and over 50 million people worldwide.
- More than 10,000 babies are diagnosed with cerebral palsy each year in the U.S.
- Funding for cerebral palsy research in the United States has long been underfunded despite the number of Americans impacted.
- When cerebral palsy isn?t diagnosed until later in life, children and families often face significant and unnecessary challenges that could be prevented.
