Happy Compromise Farm + Sanctuary (HCF+S) is currently home to more than 110 rescued farmed and companion animals who were all saved from abandonment, neglect, slaughter, or plain old bad luck. While each individual's story is different, they have all been given a second chance at the good life at HCF+S, where they will live their entire natural lives surrounded by friends and family, snackies and lush green grass.

Tallulah and her friend Blossom were rescued as chicks from a farm supply store by another sanctuary. In 2026, when that sanctuary faced hard times and had to shut down, HCF+S took in the now two-year-old turkeys to offer them continued sanctuary for life. Tallulah in particular loves being adored, and will plop down right next to admirers for pets. One summer day, we made her a flower crown and she was delighted to wear it, like the feathered queen she is.

More than 46 million turkeys are slaughtered just for Thanksgiving every year in the US, but we urge people to view turkeys - and ALL farmed animals - as individuals with unique personalities and a desire to live full, safe lives. Their lives are worth far more than a meal.

Please help us support the care of these deserving rescued animals by repping their cute merch. All proceeds go directly to their care, from bird feed to infrastructure repairs to vet bills. It takes a village to do this work but it's so worth it to see them content and fulfilled.
