Dean was only 13-months old when a softball sized brain tumor called craniopharyngioma was discovered. Craniopharyngioma is very rare and it is even more rare in a child that young. Dean is now 3 years old. He has had 25 surgeries, including 2 craniotomy resections, 6 weeks of radiation and countless hospital stays. He has multiple other medical conditions, all caused by the brain tumor, including adrenal insufficiency, arginine vasopressin deficiency, seizures and he is now blind.
