Tina, Karnaudi, Simba, Schottzie, and Jati are five Asian elephants living at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay. Schottzie and Jati arrived this fall after a transfer from the Cincinnati Zoo, expanding the herd despite years of unanswered public concern about the elephants? welfare.

Weeping Elephant Project is asking Busch Gardens for two things:

• An independent welfare assessment of all five elephants, conducted by experts outside the park and its accrediting body.
• A public commitment to end the park?s fireworks shows. Elephants are highly sensitive to sound and vibration.

So far, Busch Gardens has made no public changes.

Why a shirt? Every person wearing these names in Tampa Bay starts a conversation the park can?t ignore. Each shirt is priced to stay accessible, because visibility is the goal.
