Hi, I?m Brittany, Taylor?s cousin! Together with Katie Love and Hannah Scearce, I?m organizing this T-shirt fundraiser to surround Taylor and her growing family with love, prayer, and practical support.
My beautiful cousin Taylor and her husband, Chad, are preparing to welcome their first baby in December while facing a journey they never expected.
Every life is a miracle, a precious gift from God. For Taylor and her husband, the little boy they are preparing to welcome has already been a blessing in a way they could never have imagined. On July 31, Taylor was diagnosed with Stage 1 Hodgkin lymphoma. She had no symptoms, and her routine blood work showed nothing abnormal. It was genetic testing during her pregnancy that revealed unexpected findings and led to weeks of additional testing, eventually uncovering her cancer.
The little boy she was carrying helped save her life before she ever held him in her arms. ?
Taylor began her first round of chemotherapy on October 1. After her baby arrives, she will need to continue treatment.
Their precious boy also has a rare congenital heart defect called d-TGA, or transposition of the great arteries, and will need heart surgery within days of being born.
Their next chapter will hold both the joy of meeting their son and the challenges of cancer treatment, heart surgery, and recovery. We want to help surround them with love and ease some of the financial burden as they walk through it all.
Our ?Held Through It All? shirts are inspired by Hebrews 10:23, ESV
?Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful.?
These words remind us that even when the road ahead is uncertain, God is faithful. Taylor, her husband, and their little boy are held by Him through every appointment, every treatment, every unknown, and every step ahead.
Now, as Taylor undergoes chemotherapy and they prepare for their son?s heart surgery shortly after birth, we have an opportunity to help carry some of their burden and remind them that they are held through it all.
Purchasing a shirt will help support expenses related to Taylor?s cancer treatment and their baby?s heart surgery. Wearing it is also a meaningful way to show them that they are loved, prayed for, and surrounded by people who will walk alongside them.
Thank you for helping carry some of their burden and for being part of their story. Please keep Taylor, her husband, and their precious baby boy in your prayers as they prepare for the months ahead.
The cancer ribbon color for Hodgkin lymphoma is purple.
Held through it all, by a faithful God. ?
With love, Brittany, Katie, & Hannah
