Our family is raising funds to help support our son Aslan and his ongoing medical journey.
Aslan is a bright, loving, resilient little boy facing complex medical challenges including autoimmune/autoinflammatory disease, inflammatory bowel & motility concerns, AuDHD, feeding struggles (pediatric feeding disorder) both due to physiological pain and possibly sensory struggles, NOD2, and ongoing specialist care, including trips to Danville and now they want us to loop Children?s Hospital of Philadelphia multidisciplinary VEO-IBD team again.
Pretty much since Aslan has been born he has had tummy troubles and ongoing fevers, we didn?t realize how they occurred in a cyclical pattern until around 18 months. Our lives have become centered around appointments, testing, medications, therapies, specialist travel, missed work, and simply trying to keep our little boy healthy, comfortable, and thriving. While we continue to fight for answers and proper treatment, the financial burden of medical travel, gas, lodging, lost income, and daily expenses has become overwhelming.
After a difficult season that included unemployment and ongoing financial strain, Terry is thankfully starting a new job, and we are working hard to regain stability for our family while continuing to manage Aslan?s medical needs and appointments.
This fundraiser will help support:
? Medical travel expenses
? Hotel stays for specialist appointments
? Gas and transportation
? Meals during travel
? Medical and therapy-related expenses
? Nutritional support and daily needs while we continue navigating treatment, even with medical
documentarion and intermittent periods of failure to thrive since being born, Aslan?s medical insurance continues to deny his formula called fortini, which there are weeks where Aslan refuses everything but that and often leads us with an episode of ketosis with low blood sugar until he agrees to finally eat again. During these episodes he becomes lethargic, weak in the legs, and vomits bile and whatever he tries to swallow, and becomes dehydrated.
If you are unable to donate, prayers, encouragement, and shares mean just as much to our family. Thank you for loving and supporting our little lion through every step of this journey. We also reactivated our spotfund and we are going to try to have a ?pay what you can? sale on our porch before we head to CHOP on 6/24/26 ???
