As many of you know, we unexpectedly said goodbye to our beloved spokes dog and Keller's Cause alumni, Calamity, this past August. While her absence is still felt every day, her spirit, heart, and impact continue to shine through Keller?s Cause.
This Sunday, Calamity would have turned 9 years old. Though she can?t be here to celebrate with us, we wanted to honor her life the best way we know how, by celebrating the joy, bravery, and love she shared with so many.
In celebration of Calamity?s birthday, we?re launching a special t-shirt fundraiser in her honor. Every shirt purchased helps carry her legacy forward by supporting dogs who are deaf, blind, or both.
If you ever saw Calamity perform, you know her song was Brave by Sara Bareilles. It has always been a perfect reflection of who she was. Calamity lived fearlessly, loved deeply, and inspired everyone she met. She will always be our brave girl, and her legacy will continue to help dogs for years to come.
