Fresno County Supervisor Garry Bredefeld has called for the CAO's office to look into the cost saving potential of privatizing the Fresno County Public Library, which is primarily funded by Measure B, a one-eighth of one cent tax paid by residents of Fresno County. We believe that corporate management of our libraries by Library Systems and Services, a for-profit corporation based in Maryland, would threaten the quality, accessibility, and transparency of the library system we know and love.
