MATTHEW WEGENER and his studio work are heavily inspired by Godzilla and King Kong. A quiet and focused artist, Matthew can get lost in his drawings for hours, carefully observing the details of his subject matter and exploring through his own idiosyncratic drawing style.

I was born in New York with my mom and dad and two brothers. We did family vacations when the three of us were young. These days, I like being in Virginia with my family and our two dogs. I like to draw and paint, and I love movies, Legos, Godzilla, King Kong, and walking to get coffee.
