Kinley was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes on May 17th, 2025 at the age of 7. Being the first T1D in her family, the unknowns were terrifying. Learning about everything that was needed to manage T1D was overwhelming to say the least, but Kinley's strength and resilience made her family's fears turn into determination. Kinley and her family jumped right into carb counting, finger pokes, insulin injections, nighttime lows, managing highs, sick days, checking ketones, and all of the many things that are required to manage this disease. Her family always knew that Kinley was smart, kind-hearted, and strong; but after her diagnosis just less than a year ago, they learned that she is also brave, confident, intelligent, responsible, determined, and headstrong. T1D may be a daily struggle, but Kinley has showed everyone just how strong of a fighter she truly is. Kinley is our warrior, and we are so lucky to be part of her Krew.
