It takes approximately 25 years for a drop of rain in the mountains to filter through the ground and into our aquifers. 90 percent of O?ahu's drinking water comes from underneath the Ko?olau Mountains.
Since the formation of the partnership in 1999, our mission has been to maintain the health of the forested expanses of the Ko?olau range as a reliable source of high-quality water for the people of O?ahu in perpetuity.
We are so grateful for all of the support from our partners and the community throughout the years. As we honor those who came before us and laid the path to where we are today, let us make changes that will uplift and protect those who come after us - 25 years from now and beyond!
