Every November, Lung Cancer Awareness Month (LCAM) brings communities together to educate, remember, and celebrate survivorship. People use the month to share accurate information and honor loved ones. They also lift up survivors and the progress that makes better outcomes possible. Above all, LCAM reminds us that no one has to walk this path alone.
Lung Cancer Initiative (LCI) is at the center of that work in North and South Carolina. Our mission is to advance survivorship and support those affected by lung cancer through research, education, and access programs.
- Research funds the science that brings new answers and better outcomes.
- Education shares what we learn with patients, families, providers, and communities, so people can make informed decisions about their health.
- Access programs help care, screening, and support reach the people who need them most.
This November, LCI invites everyone to join us. You can learn more, volunteer, share your story, or take the pledge. Even wearing, using, or displaying your LCAM merchandise is an action step that brings light to lung cancer and starts conversations. Every action helps grow our network of Hope + Action, and together we can make this a month of real change for survivors, families, and communities across the Carolinas.
