The Eastern Pondhawk is one of the most recognizable dragonflies of the coastal prairie, often seen darting above wetlands, ponds, and prairie waterways in search of prey. In this original piece, artist Morgan Quigley captures the vibrant colors and dynamic energy of this remarkable species, celebrating the rich biodiversity that thrives in Southeast Texas wetlands.

Morgan's work is inspired by the natural world and the ways we interact with it. As she explains, "I'm an oil painter sometimes and a digital artist other times. I find myself inspired by the natural world and the way we choose to live in it. I have the most fun playing with light, color, and lines to create abstracted and idealized reflections of my environment."
