This January, students from the Tulsa Wesley will travel to San Juan, Puerto Rico for a week of service, learning, and relationship-building.
Our students will have the opportunity to serve alongside local ministries and communities through hands-on projects, helping with church and home repairs, homeless ministry, nursing home ministry, and disaster relief.
This trip is about more than going somewhere new. It is an opportunity for students to step outside their own communities, listen to the stories of others, and put their faith into action. They will serve alongside people in Puerto Rico, learn from local communities, and experience what it means to be the church.
Why We Need Your Help
Mission trips can be transformative experiences for students, but the cost can be a significant barrier. We don't want finances to be the reason a student has to say no.
That's where our UMC community can make a difference. Your support can help make it possible for a student to participate in this trip?to serve, to learn, to grow in their faith, and to bring what they experience back to Tulsa.
When you purchase a "Strangely Warmed" travel mug, you aren't simply helping pay for a trip. You're investing in a student and in the ministry that student will bring home with them.
Our students will return with stories, relationships, new perspectives, and a deeper understanding of what it means to live out their faith through service.
We are inviting the Oklahoma Annual Conference to help send students to Puerto Rico. Every gift helps make this experience more accessible and ensures that financial limitations don't keep students from answering the call to serve.
