Founded in 1961, the Native Plant Society of Oregon (NPSO) is a statewide network of 11 chapters and more than 1,000 members dedicated to the enjoyment, conservation, and study of Oregon?s native plants and habitats. Learn more about us and our work by visiting our website.
Oregon is home to over 3,600 native plant species and varieties?about 120 are found nowhere else in the world. This extraordinary diversity enriches our landscapes, cultures, and ecosystems.
April is officially Native Plant Appreciation Month in Oregon (ORS 187.317). Show your appreciation by wearing one of these shirts featuring Camassia quamash, common camas--one of our most culturally significant and widespread species. Design and illustration by Julia Lont, a.k.a. Blue Camas Press, www.julialont.com .
All proceeds support NPSO, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
