District of Columbia Forensic Nurse Examiners

District of Columbia Forensic Nurse Examiners (DCFNE) is a nonprofit organization headquartered in WASHINGTON, DC.  We are a nonprofit group of registered nurses with specialized skills and advanced training to care for people who have experienced violence. At DCFNE, we lessen the impact of violence by providing medical forensic exams to adult survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence.  We are the only organization that offers this service in the District of Columbia and we do this free of charge. Our nurses are on-call to respond 24 hours a day and work tirelessly to serve more than 700 survivors each year.
