Medical Mutts is a nonprofit organization 501(c)(3) dedicated to training rescue dogs as service dogs and promoting collaboration between dogs and people through science, education, and ethical training. Help support their cause by creating a fundraiser on their behalf.
Since 2013, Medical Mutts has been successfully partnering homeless dogs with clients with disabilities. The service dogs find a permanent home and a chance for a high-quality life. In return, they offer loyalty, independence, and loving assistance to an individual with a disability. Medical Mutts specializes in the training of dogs for conditions such as diabetes, epileptic seizures, and psychiatric disorders.
Medical Mutts provides fully-trained service dogs and helps owners train their own dogs as their service dogs and has so far:
Rescued 300 dogs
Provided 82 service dogs
helped 85 owners get their dogs trained as their service dogs.
Led by Dr. Jennifer Cattet, Medical Mutts is established in Indianapolis IN, and provides service dogs nationwide. All training is done through ethical and positive based methods and promotes efficiency and confidence in the dogs.
