P&B?s Posse was created for our children, Palmer (4) and Beckett (2), who both live with cystic fibrosis. Though they share the same diagnosis, their experiences with CF have looked very different?powerfully reflecting how far CF care has come and how much hope there is for the future.
Palmer was born prematurely in February 2022 and faced significant CF-related complications early in life, including multiple surgeries, a prolonged NICU stay, and intensive daily treatments. Today, with ongoing therapies and Trikafta, a highly effective modulator, she is thriving and showing us every day what strength and resilience look like.
Beckett was diagnosed with CF before birth in February 2024. Thanks to advancements in CF research?including prenatal exposure to Trikafta?he was born full term without complications. While he also manages CF with daily treatments and enzymes, his early days have looked dramatically different than his sister?s, offering a glimpse of what continued progress can achieve.
Although Palmer and Beckett battle CF daily, their futures are brighter because of ongoing research, advocacy, and community. The CF community is powerful?through shared voices, unwavering advocacy, and relentless fundraising, awareness is raised and real change happens. We are deeply grateful to be part of a community that turns hope into action and progress into possibility.
As parents, we are committed to doing our part. We are proudly participating in the Montrose Great Strides Walk on May 16th, 2026, running with the Breathe Team in the Chicago Marathon, and hosting our second annual P&B?s Posse Golf Outing on June 19th, 2026 at Lapeer Country Club. After a hugely successful inaugural outing last year?made possible by the generosity of our friends, family, and local supporters?we are excited to build on that momentum and continue raising critical funds to support CF research and care. Our greatest hope is a cure, so our children, and all people living with CF, can live long, healthy, and fulfilling lives.
