Adam Lee Decker understands that performing on a national stage comes with both encouragement and criticism. While he has learned over the years to let negative comments roll off his back, the online jabs and hurtful messages- such as the one that prompted this campaign- still remind him of the bullying he experienced as a child.
Those experiences have given Adam a deep compassion for the kids and teens who face bullying every day and may not yet have the confidence, support, or life experience to navigate it. He knows that words can leave lasting wounds, whether they are spoken in person or typed behind a screen.
That is why Adam created the Put a Mask on Bullying campaign?to raise awareness about the damaging effects of bullying and cyberbullying and to encourage a culture of kindness, empathy, and respect. Through the sale of these shirts, we hope to start meaningful conversations, inspire positive change, and remind those who are struggling that they are not alone.
A portion of the proceeds from this campaign will be donated to Stomp Out Bullying, helping support efforts to prevent bullying and create safer, more inclusive communities for young people everywhere.
Together, we can put a mask on bullying and give a voice to kindness. ?
