The Zoo Society is a 501(c)(3) non-profit fundraising organization whose purpose is to lend financial support to Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium in Tacoma, WA. We provide support for Zoo and Aquarium exhibits, education programs, scientific research, conservation activities, animal care, and capital. Funds are generated through annual gifts, grants, individual donations, corporate support, and fundraising events.
Dr. Holly Reed Wildlife Conservation Fund
Since 2002, The Zoo Society?s Dr. Holly Reed Wildlife Conservation Fund has provided more than $2 million in grants to benefit a diverse range of endangered species. Profits from this campaign will be specifically allocated for conservation, research, and education efforts that support American red wolves (Canis rufus).
