We are a fresh nonprofit located in Middletown, Ohio, who strives to provide rescue, sanctuary, and lifetime support to wolfdogs in need, by improving their lives with cooperative care training and daily socialization plus enrichment, while educating to encourage humane treatment and compassion of these unique individuals, in addition to proper care and husbandry.

Wolfdogs are domestic animals with special husbandry requirements and needs, they are NOT wild animals. However, their special care needs can make it difficult to find access to the proper veterinary care. We are extremely grateful to have a wonderful vet Darsha Arnold and vet tech Amie Marmer who help us care for our 23 rescues here at the Red Riding Hood Rescue Project.

We want to be prepared for any and all emergencies, and be able to offer the best care and welfare to each of our rescues, while also making the job of our vet staff much simpler, and that is why we are building an on-site vet clinic.

This clinic will allow us the chance to respond immediately and more efficiently to health emergencies. It will also allow us the ability to provide more detailed daily veterinary care, and give our wonderful vet staff the support the needs onsite to care for our wolfdogs.

These ladies are the famous wandering black coyotes of Rhode Island and they now call The Red Riding Hood Rescue Project their home. These girls are not for adoption, so they will be under our care for the rest of their lives, and just like all of our rescues, they deserve the best welfare and treatment possible.
