They called her a monster, so I made her a saint. ????

Meet Saint Aileen: Patron Saint of the Unforgiven.

Aileen Wuornos was never an easy victim, villain, feminist symbol, or anything else. Her story touches survival, violence, punishment, trauma, redemption, and the lowest forms of depravity humans have to offer one another. She may have been far from a saint, but I certainly don?t see her any other way.

Inspired by classical religious iconography and the art of Philippe de Champaigne, I spent six hours creating this original digital collage entirely by hand. Every element was individually sourced, cut, layered, and textured. No A.I., just a ridiculous amount of patience.

Now available as a collection of wearable art, apparel, and merchandise for anyone who believes the unforgiven deserve their own saints.

20% of profits will be donated to the Joyful Heart Foundation to support survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence.
