This is the official SOHMA Tai Chi collection, designed for the students (and some by the students), teachers and friends of our school community around the world.
On the front is the SOHMA logo. Look closely and you?ll see a Yin Yang, a spine, and acupuncture needles woven into one circle, reflecting my roots as a chiropractor and acupuncturist. Today it represents the heart of Tai Chi: balance, alignment, and energy flowing through the center, where every movement begins.
Down the back, along the spine, are the characters ????. They were created for us by my friend Dr. Jonathan Lin and his mother, as a Chinese expression of our school?s name, the School of Healing Martial Arts (SOHMA). Loosely translated, they mean ?through martial arts, cultivate health.? That phrase is the heart of how I teach: daily practice, rooted in the traditional Yang lineage, done with patience and intention.
