SOURPUSS LEMONADE is Vancouver, Washington's cheeky little lemonade vendor, serving refreshing lemon slush drinks with a twist. Our drinks are made with fresh fruit juice and real sugar, but what sets us apart is the slush. The ice is made from the lemonade itself--we don't add ice afterward or add air to fluff it up. When your ice cold lemonade inevitably starts to melt on a sweltering day, it melts into more lemonade, keeping your drink delicious!

SOURPUSS LEMONADE was inspired by a lemonade vendor in my small town on the east coast that's been serving frozen lemonade drinks for more than 50 years. I wish for this lemonade every summer, so I came up with a twisted recipe and created fun, classic flavors to add to the menu. We opened in July 2025.

Picture it: we were there in the kitchen?ingredients all prepped and giant buckets of lemonade ready to get frozen. We poured six gallons of lemonade into the machine for proper slushing and when we turned the compressor on it started hissing and spitting water, like an angry street cat.

We turned it off and took off the front panel of the machine. Water everywhere. We turned the compressor on briefly to see where the issue was coming from but we had to take off another panel and try again before we saw several jets of water spewing from one of the water valves feeding (or discharging from) the compressor.

We called a specialty repair shop and were told it was a water intake valve/outlet/regulator valve (no one has been able to clarify this for me yet). The part itself is several hundred dollars and the labor several hundred more on top of that.

And on Memorial Day weekend of all weekends!

All proceeds go toward getting the batch freezer repaired! Without this crucial piece of equipment, the lemonade slush is not slush at all, just regular degular not-slush liquid.
