Sprite was transferred to Rat Way Sanctuary from Multnomah County Animal Services along with her sisters, Siren and Selkie, who both had medical needs. Younger and perfectly healthy, Sprite came along for the ride and has become one of our ambassador animals, accompanying us to events where she enjoys crowd surfing, schmoozing and educating the public about how sweet and perfect rats are. At home, she is energetic and adventurous, always taking advantage of an open cage door so she can explore. We joke that she is an international spy with how fast she can sneak out of the cage while our attention is on another rat.
