Where does the t-shirt money go?
Each design has a designated cause that it will help. Below are more details about each designation that helps our Rescue continue helping the forgotten cats of Muhlenberg and Surrounding Counties.
TNR Efforts:
Each shirt sold provides a percentage of total cost to our Community TNR efforts funds allowing us to continue helping colony caregivers, rescuers, and finders fight overpopulation one surgery at a time. TNR is vital to the community cats because it limits overpopulation, disease spread, illnesses, fighting/territorial displays, roaming, territorial marking/damaging property and gives the colony cats the chance at a healthier and happier life.
Medical Efforts:
Each shirt sold provides a percentage of total cost to our Medical Funds. Often cats are surrendered to us due to medical trauma, Illnesses, or Traumatic injuries that will need medical intervention from our wonderful vet team. Rescue is not cheap on the best of days but especially when we are hit with several medical cases at one time it can deplete our rescue funds substantially leading us to have to pull from our personal household funds because we will never leave any animal regardless of species in need of medical care.
Adoption/Community Outreach fund:
Each shirt sold provides a percentage of total cost to our Adoption/Community Outreach fund. When a cat is adopted by an out of state adopter we are REQUIRED by the state of KY and the receiving state to provide Health Certificates which can run upwards of $98 per certificate and since we do not charge excessively for adoption fees we are usually left covering that cost ourselves with our private household funds. These funds also help with providing needed published materials to the communities that we work with so that they have material that they can read and share with others. Lastly theses funds will also help with continuing education efforts for the rescue and individuals within the rescue so that we can better serve our communities and the cats within the communities that we serve.
