Ruby is a one in a million dog. She was found as a stray with her mom and a littermate puppy, with a lump on top of her head, and she appeared to be blind. She was taken in by the local shelter. She has now been seen by a neurologist and thanks to our amazing donors, she was able to get an MRI. She has been diagnosed with a brain deformity, hydrocephalus (water on the brain) and an EXTREMELY rare condition called a meningoencephalocele. Despite all these big words, Ruby is a happy go lucky dog with an amazing quality of life. She?s currently living her best life in a foster home. However, her medical journey is not over. She needs surgery in order to protect her fragile brain from the outside world - the lump on the top of her head is actually part of her brain!!
