Wolfgang was born with a congenital heart defect called Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS) where the left side of his heart was severely underdeveloped.

He underwent his first open heart surgery at three days old, and his second surgery at almost three months old. From both surgeries he spent five months combined in the hospital during his first 6 months of life.

He is now five years old, and we are preparing for his third open heart surgery- the Fontan. The Fontan is the third and final surgery to complete the single-ventricle palliative pathway reconstructing his heart.

Through his entire health journey, we have been overwhelmed by the love, support, and prayers from our friends, family, co-workers, and those we have not met.

We joke that all of YOU are honorary members of the Wolf Pack. So naturally my father designed us t-shirts.

Surgery is planned for mid July, 2026. He will be admitted at Seattle Children's Hospital for up to 3 weeks, and then continue his recovery at home. Any proceeds will help offset work leave wages, and gas costs going to and from Seattle for his admission and appointments.
