Michael was diagnosed with Hepatosplenic Lymphoma, a rare type of Leukemia/Lymphoma, in July of 2020, when he was only 19 years old. He was an athlete, a surfer, a sailor, a college student.... To save his life, Michael needed first to get the cancer into remission, then undergo a Bone Marrow Transplant. The entire oncology and Bone Marrow Transplant team at Nicklaus Children's Hospital worked together to give Michael the chance of survival. Michael is here today, still recovering, but working out, moving forward, motivating and inspiring others, using his life changing obstacle, cancer, for the greater good! This design is meant to remind us of how STRONG we ALL are, how strong we ALL can be when faced with adversity. Michael wants to give back, especially to the community at Nicklaus Children's Hospital, in particular the Bone Marrow Transplant Clinic, for the extraordinary care and support he received. The profits from each purchase go directly to the hospital, and you, well, you get this cool design to wear. It looks good, and you are doing good supporting future (and present!) BMT patients.
