"Our Story"-By Casey Windham

Our Story

My husband and I have been married for almost 7 years but have known and loved

each other for over 21 years. God has been so faithful and good to us. I will never grow

tired of singing His praises. Him bringing us back to each other is one of our greatest

blessings and perhaps one of the first stones in our stack of ?Ebenezer Stones? that

remind us of the Lord?s faithfulness, provision, comfort and help.

A few years into our marriage, we were faced with the harsh reality that children might

not be in our future, at least not the way we had envisioned. This was heartbreaking for

us because we both had strong desires to be parents and share our love with a child or

children.

I can say now though that I?m so thankful for the storms in life that drive us to the Lord, in brokenness and humility.

We ended up being able to pursue IVF and were blessed with multiple healthy embryos. Our first embryo transfer was unsuccessful, but our second one gave us our Clyde who is now three years old. Our hearts held more love for this child than we ever knew was possible. I continue to be in awe of this living, breathing, laughing, smiling, hugging reminder of God doing exceedingly abundantly above all that we asked or thought (Ephesians 3:20). Absolute awe !!

God has been so gracious and kind and merciful to give us the gift of our Clyde. I pray

we are good stewards and raise him to be an arrow in God?s army. Clyde is our second

Ebeneezer stone. Our daily beautiful reminder of God?s provision, love, and faithfulness.

We always knew we wanted Clyde to have siblings. Daniel and I both have very special

relationships with our siblings and we want that for Clyde as well.

We tried another embryo transfer in February of 2025. We were elated with a positive

pregnancy test and the excitement of growing our family. At my 11 week check up, no

heartbeat was found. We deeply grieved the loss of this baby that we already loved .

Those that knew of our loss loved us well and walked alongside us. Thank you to each

and every one of you that made a meal or sent a card or flowers or keepsake. Every

thoughtful gesture helped our hearts heal.

We tried again in September of 2025 and were cautiously hopeful with another positive pregnancy test. We went in for a 10 week ultrasound and our hearts broke all over again as the doctor told us there was no heartbeat this time. We later found out this baby was a little girl.

We would be lying if we said it wasn?t really hard. We would be lying if we said we didn?t feel all the emotions as we prepared for my second D and C procedure in less than six months. We would be lying if we said it didn?t strain our marriage and our home and our finances. It brought us low, It brought us to our knees.

We would also be lying if we said it didn?t bring us closer to God because it did. All of it

has. He has held us and loved us and encouraged us beyond our ability to capture with words. He has become more real to us in the storms because he has been our anchor. Despite the losses, He has been faithful. Faithful in tending our hurting hearts, faithful in strengthening our marriage, faithful in every single promise He gives us in his word.

We have learned it is possible to have a heart full of gratitude and love yet utterly

broken at the same time. God has revealed himself to us over and over through this

journey. So much so that all four of our babies, the one here with us and the three in

heaven are Ebeneezer stones in our story-where his comfort was tangible, and his

provision undeniable.

We are thankful for all of it. The wrestling with God over the years has only drawn us

closer to Him as we learned to trust Him more and more. I don?t know when or how but we believe He wants to grow our family. We believe He has put that desire in our hearts-so we are continuing to take next steps. We have recently had more testing done and we hope to move forward with our fifth embryo transfer soon. We are trusting the Lord with the outcome. May His will be done.

Our family and some friends asked if we would share our story so they could do a

fundraiser for us. We were humbled and deeply grateful for their offer. Thank you to

every person that contributes in any way. We deeply appreciate it.

We hope our story encourages you in the faithfulness of God and that you will join us in praying for God to grow our family.

?Thus far the Lord has helped us. ?

Love,

Daniel and Casey Windham
