On June 29,2026, our world was changed. What we thought was just too much summer fun with our softball family turned into an ER visit, an ambulance transfer to OU Children?s, and a life-changing diagnosis. At just 8 years old Emmalee was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. It was a complete shock; just days and hours before this she had been running in the field next to the fireworks tent, we were working with all her softball friends and family. From day one, she has shown so much bravery and strength. She has not let this stop her from doing anything she has set her mind on. She is like, "Oh, you don't think I can do that? Hold my drink!" Her positivity and resilience have completely blown us away. On November 7th, we are stepping out in OKC as Team Fearlessly Emma to walk for Emmalee and show her she is never alone in this journey and to be a part of the T1D community. We pray that one day there will be a cure for T1D.
