Tom is currently fighting the genetic form of COPD caused by Alpha 1 Anit Trypsin Deficiency and is on the journey toward a life-saving double lung transplant. While insurance covers many of the clinical procedures, the hidden costs of transplant survival are overwhelming.
Tom?s transplant center is located 200 miles away from home. Following his surgery, Tom and his Tiffany (wife and primary caregiver) will be required to relocate and rent housing within a 60 minute drive of the transplant center for 3 months.
