Roarthon is a year-long fundraising campaign ending in a 12 hour long student-run event where more than 400 students stay awake and on their feet in order to raise funds for children in need of medical care. The Children?s Miracle Network Hospitals program at Nicklaus Children?s hospital Foundation receives 100% of the funds collected throughout the year. This non-profit is dedicated to saving and improving the lives of children by raising funds and awareness for more than 170 hospitals throughout North America. Since 1985, Nicklaus Children?s hospital has been the only Children?s Hospital in South Florida. Since its establishment at FIU in 1997, Roarthon has raised over $1.7 million dollars in cash donations!
