Help Us Put Every Child in the Driver?s Seat ??
Every child deserves the opportunity to explore, play, communicate, and move independently.
For children with disabilities, everyday opportunities for play and participation can sometimes come with barriers. UCF GO Baby Go! works to remove those barriers through creativity, collaboration, and assistive technology.
Our program brings together physical therapists, engineers, students, families, and community partners to create customized solutions that help children participate more fully in their world.
While our signature project is adapting commercially available ride-on cars into customized, battery-powered mobility devices, our work doesn't stop there.
We also design and create adapted toys, accessible books, switch-activated play experiences, positioning supports, and 3D-printed assistive devices tailored to the unique needs of individual children.
These adaptations may seem simple, but they can make a tremendous difference.
A modified toy can allow a child to activate a favorite toy independently.
An adapted book can give a child a way to participate in story time.
A 3D-printed tool can make an everyday activity more accessible.
And an adapted ride-on car can give a child their first experience of independent mobility.
Your support makes access possible.
Creating customized assistive technology requires materials, tools, batteries, switches, electronics, 3D-printing supplies, positioning components, adaptive equipment, and other specialized resources.
Your donations help us provide these solutions to children and families at no cost, helping remove financial barriers to participation and independence.
But the impact goes beyond the child receiving an adaptation.
Through UCF GO Baby Go!, students gain hands-on experience solving real-world problems alongside children and families. They learn about disability, accessibility, assistive technology, engineering, clinical reasoning, and inclusive design.
Families become partners in the design process. Community volunteers learn how small changes can create meaningful opportunities. And students discover that innovation isn't always about inventing something new?it can be about making what already exists work for everyone.
Help us build a more accessible world.
Your donation helps us:
? Build customized mobility cars
? Adapt toys for independent play
? Create accessible books and literacy experiences
? Develop switch-accessible activities
?? Design and 3D-print customized assistive devices
?? Purchase tools and materials for future builds
? Provide students with hands-on assistive technology experiences
? Expand our reach to more children and families
Whether you donate $10, $25, $50, or more, your contribution helps turn an idea into an opportunity for a child.
Together, we can create a world where children with disabilities have more opportunities to move, play, explore, participate, and GO!
UCF GO Baby Go!
