Last year at the age of 23 I was diagnosed with ALS. I had no idea what ALS even was. I remember filming my mom when I was 14 for the Ice Bucket challenge, but didn't even really know what that was intended for. It turns out that it was to bring awareness for a disease that still doesn't have a cure.
I don't believe that ALS is incurable, I know that with the advancement of AI that we are closer than ever to a cure. ALS is a devastating disease and is fatal within 2-5 years on average after receiving a diagnosis.
Our team is walking to bring awareness and raise what money we can to help not only with research but with the good work the ALS Network does for people with ALS and their families.
