This beautiful logo features work by Tristan Agnauraq Morgan, and WOW, we love it!
Traditional Arctic motifs center around the Dunlin; I?upiaq Name: I??auqtulik, Siggukpaligauraq, Qayuuttavaka; a small shorebird that migrates nearly 3,000 miles (from as far as China!) every year to raise chicks on the vast Arctic tundra bordering Utqia?vik, Alaska. This is one of several shorebird species that return each year to the region to breed in the (short!) summer months.
Our goal of the Utqia?vik Shorebird Festival is to promote wildlife conservation, education, storytelling, and learning from one another through these amazing migratory shorebirds. The festival centers celebrating shorebirds with inclusive & engaging activities for kids and adults, with art, culture, science, and adventure woven into one fun festival. We plan to use any funds raised to secure future festivals and educational outreach events similar to this in Utqia?vik, Alaska, and surrounding communities.
By contributing (and flaunting this design!) you will bring awareness to programs sharing shorebird education and conservation within Alaskan communities - and anywhere shorebirds travel. Plus, you'll probably get some great compliments.
Thank you for your contribution, you're going to look fly in this artisan design! (no pun intended...)
