At Wolf Haven International, we care for a variety of canid species including gray wolves, Mexican wolves, American Red Wolves, and coyotes. In fact, our Tenino, Washington sanctuary has provided a lifetime home for over 325 animals since 1982! However, many other animals call our property home, especially ravens. For Crow and Raven Appreciation Day, we wanted to spotlight the wolf-raven symbiotic relationship. In the wild, ravens and wolves are known to work together, such as ravens scavenging the leftovers of wolves, but in return can alarm call to alert the wolves if there is danger. Ravens seem to seek out wolves for company. So much so that after the establishment of Wolf Haven, the raven population boomed. Staff joke that we are also Raven Haven!
