For nearly fifty years, HCR has been a place where people with disabilities experience something that cannot be replicated anywhere else: the freedom of moving through open land, on horseback, in the company of people who see them fully. That work began on 60 acres in the Nicasio Valley. Today, it spans 180.
The 2023 gift of RockRose Ranch, 120 acres just up the road from Old Rancheria, changed what was possible. Equine Assisted Services in a new landscape. A second home for families who had no door in before. Demand for what we offer has increased by 218% in just two years, and we are growing to answer it.
This is not a new direction. It is an expansion of who we have always been.
One in ten Marin County residents lives with a disability. Despite being one of the most resource-rich regions in the country, people face long waitlists, fragmented services, and few meaningful opportunities to access nature, connection, and community. HCR exists because that gap is real. And philanthropy supports more than 85% of everything we do. It is the force that turns possibility into reality.
This spring, we ask you to give.
Give for the riders whose names are on lists that RockRose Ranch now has room to answer. Give for the 36 therapy horses whose daily care is the quiet engine of every transformation. Give for the staff and volunteers who carry this mission forward with skill and devotion, every week. Give for the land itself, 180 acres, two ranches, one living system, that exists not as property, but as possibility.
This merchandise supports our entire living system and helps spread our mission through our community. We are so grateful for everything your generosity has made possible. Please give today and help us carry this work forward.
