Joint Council Of Librarians Of Color

The Joint Council of Librarians of Color (JCLC) is dedicated to promoting librarianship within communities of color, supporting literacy and the preservation of history and cultural heritage, and collaborating on common issues. Through targeted national conferences, programs, and events, JCLC brings together librarians, library staff, students, educators, trustees, and advocates throughout the country who serve persons and communities of color. Their mission is to address the professional and personal development, continuing education, and collegial networking needs of librarians of color and to promote library and information services to communities of color.
