This design bloomed from the pursuit of justice for the wrongful deaths of my beloved huskies Pneuma and Melo (P + M). They were the purest form of beauty, love and light that this world could ever know and were cruelly taken from this earth in April of 2026 through the negligent and deceitful actions of a formerly trusted business owner. 

On one of my social media posts about Pneuma + Melo following the news breaking, I asked everyone to "pick peonies for my Pneuma" and to "play a song on the piano for my Melo" - two things that feel uniquely tied to who they were to me. An individual commented on a following post of mine, "Peonies and pianos, babe."

That comment really impacted me and stuck with me in the days following as pure encouragement. A large part of this fight for justice has been wanting to ensure that Pneuma + Melo are fully seen for who they were and don't become just nameless, faceless statistics. This one-sentence comment communicates so much - mostly that they ARE seen.

Thus, this design was born. I wanted it to be a bit more elegant, while still a bit whimsical. It features a cluster of peonies for my Pneuma, a free-flowing bar of music above a flowing set of piano keys for my Melo and two small butterflies in representation of them both.
