Since August 2026, wildfires have been spreading through the rainforests and peatlands of West Kalimantan in Indonesian Borneo. The fires have now entered Gunung Palung National Park, one of the last great strongholds of the critically endangered Bornean orangutan and home to more than 2,500 of them.
All profits from this Save the Orangutans campaign go directly to the Gunung Palung Orangutan Conservation Program. Their team and local community fire crews are working on the front line right now, and the money will be used to support these heros.

2026 is a "Super El Ni?o" year, and the drought has left Borneo's forests and peat soils bone dry. Fires have spread into some of the most important orangutan habitat on Earth.
Inside Gunung Palung, around 9,000 hectares have been affected. The fire is climbing into primary rainforest that has never been logged, forest that is normally too wet to burn.
But it isn't just the fires themselves that are an issue. The sheer number of fires has created a smokescreen across the island, creating life-threatening conditions for the people and the animals of Borneo.

Flames are only part of the danger. Orangutans live high in the trees, and when fire surrounds them they can become trapped, unable to travel safely on the ground.
The smoke also causes respiratory issues as it starves the animals from oxygen.
Peat fires can smoulder underground for weeks, filling the forest with this thick, toxic haze.

This campaign sends proceeds directly to the Gunung Palung Orangutan Conservation Program ? the people on the ground, fighting the fires, rescuing the wildlife, and create fire barriers to help prevent the spread.
These people are absolute heroes, but they need our support.
Save Wild Orangutans current has an appeal to raise $45,000 to help fun patrols, and equipment for the frontline firefighting teams. Lets help make this happen.
By wearing the design, you're also helping spread the word about a disaster that gets very little coverage outside Southeast Asia.
