The shirt is a replica of the historic uniform worn by Carlton ?Hub? Edwards, a legendary local pitcher for the 1940s and 1950s Setauket Suffolk Giants and a beloved community pillar in the Three Villages. Edwards gained local fame for throwing multiple no-hitters?including striking out 19 batters in a row?and drew interest from the Brooklyn Dodgers before serving in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He later spent decades as a custodian and mentor at Ward Melville High School and was inducted into the Suffolk Sports Hall of Fame.
